Sokoban is a Japanese term meaning ‘warehouse keeper’. This is a strategy game invented by Hiroyuki Imabayashi in 1980 and produced by a company called Thinking Rabbit in 1982 in the city of Takarazuka, Japan. The game was brought to the West by Spectrum Holobyte in 1984 with an Apple II version. The goal is to have the guard arrange all the boxes in the marked places. But you are limited in your work because you can only push the boxes one at a time and you can not pull them. This game is an adaptation to the Windows environment and the original source code was developed by Ben Ruyl. It runs on Windows versions, from Windows XP to Windows 10.

The program features almost 280 sets, available in a folder named ‘Sets’, in a total of more than 15,000 levels to solve !!! There are several authors of these sets, and it is still possible to find new designs by Alberto Garcia, Buddy Casamis, David Holland, Eric F. Tchong, Evgeniy Grigoriev, François Marques, Marko Dzekic, Thomas Reinke and others.

It is available in German, English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
