Checkers (also called Draughts) is a game played between two players, on a square board of 64 squares, alternately light and dark, featuring 12 white and 12 black pieces.
The objective is to capture or immobilize the opponent’s pieces. The player who manages to capture all the opponent’s pieces wins the game.
The board must be placed in such a way that the angled square to the left of each partner is dark.
At the start of the game, the pieces must be placed on the board over the dark squares, as follows: in the first three horizontal rows, the white pieces; and, in the last three, the black pieces.
The piece moves diagonally, over the dark houses, forwards, and one house at a time.
The piece can capture the opponent’s piece by moving forward and also allowing you to capture the opponent’s piece by moving backward.
When using Checkers for the first time, the language is English, but you can change it to German, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese.
